Bilingual English/Spanish Collections Specialist ? U.S. Market

SpeedyDollar, part of Aventus Group, is launching its lending operations in the United States, and we are looking for experienced Bilingual Collections Specialists to join our new U.S. Collections team in Mexico City.

This is an opportunity to become part of the initial team building SpeedyDollar's U.S. collections operation from the ground up.
We are specifically looking for experienced collectors who have worked with U.S. customers, have excellent English communication skills, know how to negotiate effectively, and are comfortable working in a performance-driven financial environment.

As our U.S. business grows, strong performers will have opportunities to develop into Senior Collector, Team Leader, and other leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle outbound and inbound collections calls with U.S. customers regarding past-due consumer loans.
- Negotiate payments and approved payment arrangements while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Manage Promises to Pay (PTPs), follow-ups, and delinquent accounts through resolution.
- Use effective negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling techniques to maximize recovery.
- Accurately document all customer interactions, commitments, payment information, and account updates in the CRM.
- Meet and exceed individual collections KPIs, including RPC, PTP conversion, cure rate, recovery performance, productivity, and quality.
- Work with dialer and digital communication channels as part of coordinated collections campaigns.
- Follow all company procedures and applicable U.S. collections and consumer-protection requirements.
Requirements

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of direct phone collections experience.
- Hands-on experience collecting from customers in the U.S. market is required.
- Experience in consumer lending, fintech, personal loans, auto finance, credit cards, or other financial products is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to negotiate payments, handle objections, and work with delinquent customers.
- Experience working with CRMs, dialers, and collections systems.

English
- Advanced English proficiency is mandatory ? C1 level or equivalent.
- Candidates must be able to communicate confidently and naturally with U.S. customers by phone and in writing.
- Strong listening comprehension, negotiation vocabulary, and ability to handle difficult conversations entirely in English.
- Fluent Spanish.
The interview process will include a spoken English assessment and a collections role-play in English.

Collections Knowledge & Skills
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Understanding of core collections metrics such as RPC, PTP, cure rate and recovery rate.
- Familiarity with FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA and U.S. collections communication requirements is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with individual performance targets and variable compensation.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate CRM documentation.
- Professional, confident and respectful communication style.
- Results-oriented and comfortable working in a highly performance-driven environment.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College or university education is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer
- Competitive compensation: $23,000 MXN gross monthly base salary + performance bonus of up to $9,000 MXN per month (up to $32,000 MXN total monthly compensation).
- Six-day workweek, Monday through Saturday, with Sunday off.
