Job description (description of the main functions)
Leading the logistics department towards tasks, dates and costs. Technical guidance of the allocated divisions in the production plants.
Main functions of the allocated divisions
Logistics planning: Inventory planning; material flow planning; concept preparation and purchasing of charge carriers; calculation of logistics offerings; working in projects; effective balancing between costumers and suppliers; close cooperation with purchasing department; preparation of contracts in LOG handling; defining specifications for process controls (f.e. KANBAN)
Operative logistics: customs clearence / creating transport documents; managing the goods in / goods out; warehouse management; execution of the stock takings; managing JiT/JiS-delivery; master data maintenance;
shipment service; creating delivery notes
Logistics service: monitoring the stock; the call-offs from the costumers; contact person for the costumers; spare parts service; monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI); defining the needed stock amounts in the production and warehouse
Main functions
- constantly monitoring the processes according to ISO/TS 16949
- monitoring and executing the shipments between plants and costumers (single shipments, associations etc.)
- collaboration for the change management
- introducing KANBAN as a target for all process controls in the production
- establishing, introducing and using a logistical KPI system
- processing the specified tasks according to QMS in due time
- introduction of SAP
- technical support for the logistic departments in all sites
- personnel development, support and leadership of employees in the allocated divisions
- qualification of the employees
- securing the key-user logistics function
- close coordination with the logistics managers of the other plants and balancing the capacities of the local executives
