Supervisor de Control de Calidad

The 'Quality Control Supervisor' is responsible for ensuring that products meet the quality standards established by the company. This involves supervising and controlling all stages of the production or service delivery process, identifying possible deviations or problems in quality, proposing and monitoring corrective actions, performing internal audits to verify compliance with quality standards, and collaborating with other departments to implement continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
Develop and maintain company quality standards.
Identify and analyze quality problems and propose solutions to improve processes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Participate in the development and review of quality control procedures and protocols.
Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality regulations and standards.
Ensures compliance with Quality Objectives (Quality Costs, Customer Satisfaction, etc.) and the
Customer Satisfaction, etc.) and effectiveness of corrective actions.
Coordinates compliance with Inspection procedures (Incoming Raw Material and/or Process and Final Product) to ensure Quality requirements.
Develops and analyzes the Process Performance by comparing statistical data and acceptance criteria seeking cost and cycle time efficiencies to ensure Product Quality and Reliability.
Keeps updated on Technical Innovations, Systems, Measurement Equipment and Quality Criteria; adapting them to the Organization and Supervising their Implementation.
Participates in the Planning, Development and Transfer of Products or Modifications to Parts, Materials or Processes.
Verifies that the measuring equipment to be used to carry out its activities is qualified and available.
May act as a facilitator for TN150/ GBS Staff regarding Continuous Improvement Programs, etc.
Attends to problems that arise in the Process related to Suppliers, in coordination with the receiving area.
Performs Evaluation and Inspection of Materials received from Suppliers.
Implements Quality System Documentation. Develops, Modifies and Maintains the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of their area.
Supports Raw Material Receipt Inspection.
Evaluates potential or existing suppliers to ensure that they meet the quality requirements established by the company.
Responsible for managing and resolving quality complaints related to products supplied by suppliers, identifying root causes and taking corrective action.
Responsible for fostering and maintaining interdepartmental harmony.
Other duties as indicated by corporate and project priorities.
Participate in regional, institutional, networking and training events.
Internal Reporting
Comply with reporting requirements (Weekly reports, OKR, weekly reports, etc).
Prepare internal quality control reports to ensure data accuracy and perform quality control on outgoing reports.
Establish internal quality control system, including but not limited to the development of documentation tools, formats and processes.

Education, experience, skills, and abilities Required

Degree in Quality Engineering or related career
Experience of 5 years or more in Quality Control, product knowledge in manufacturing companies.
Knowledge in ISO and other Quality standards.
Experience in Chemical Laboratory Results Analysis and Product Quality Aspects.
Analytical skills and ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
Results and continuous improvement orientation.
Spoken and written professional English.
