Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Legal Assistant to join our legal team. As a key member of our corporate and business law practice, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately entering data related to corporate formation documents, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) agreements, personal and family agreements, and various other legal documents within the scope of USA law. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a basic understanding of legal terminology.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry:
- Accurately enter and update information into databases, spreadsheets, and case management systems.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data related to corporate formation documents and legal agreements.
2. Document Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate formation documents.
- Input information from legal documents such as B2B, B2C, personal, business, and family agreements into relevant systems.
3. Record Maintenance:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems.
- Ensure that all documents are properly labeled, indexed, and easily retrievable.
4. Quality Control:
- Conduct regular reviews of data entries to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to ensure accuracy in document details.
5.Communication:
- Communicate effectively with legal team members to gather necessary information for data entry.
- Respond promptly to queries regarding data accuracy and completeness.
6. Task Support:
- Assist legal professionals with administrative tasks related to document preparation and filing.
- Support the team in handling various other tasks as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or Legal Assistant, with a focus on corporate and business law in the USA.
- Basic knowledge of legal terminology and document types.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office software and legal databases.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Speak English at a B2 level or above.
- A degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Relevant experience, certifications or coursework in legal studies will be considered.
