Job Summary

The Lean & Six Sigma Engineer will identifies and implements initiatives or projects to optimize the business operations, by using and providing guidance in the use of continuous improvement tools and methods. Actively supports best practices and continuous improvement processes to ensure compliance with all regulatory systems. These include, but are not limited to Gemba Walks / Tiers

Meetings, NCRs / CAPA / Complaints Investigations, Line Balancing & Workstations Layout, Std.

Work Creation & Revision.

Responsibilities

*Apply continuous improvement methodologies to developing, configuring and optimizing manufacturing processes in order to improve production rates, efficiency, quality of output, while reducing cost, improving sustainability and maximize profitability. This includes, but is not limited to, improving line balancing, workstations re-layout, and std. work creation / revision.

*Assess process performance through data collection and metrics trending interpretation.

*Active participation in Gemba Walks / Tiers Meetings.

*Designing, running, testing / piloting potential process changes to evaluate effectiveness.

*Create / Revise process documentation and operating instructions (SOPs / WIs).

*Perform Non-conformance / CAPAs / Complaints Investigations.

*Ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned projects.

*Ensure tasks and activities performed comply with applicable cGDP/cGMP regulations and Standard

Operating Procedures (SOPs).

*Assist in internal and external audits (e.g. Clients, Regulatory), as required.

*To constantly strive to instill a sense of professionalism and pride in the organization personnel by ongoing daily communication & leadership by example.

*Keep effective communication with technical services (technicians) and provide support during equipment maintenance or repairmen.

Qualifications Physical Demands

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Technical career.

* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to

* Lean/Six Sigma concepts training & application work on equipment

(certification preferred)

* Able to stand for long periods of time

* Basic experience in 2D / 3D drawing interpretation

* 1+ years in a GMP regulated manufacturing (preferred)

Working Conditions Direct Reports

Work environment may include but not be limited to injection molding, paint and assembly departments.
May work with all tools/equipment available at maintenance shop.
Daily exposure to cleaning solutions, grease.
Required use of PPE (steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc...)
Able to travel overseas and domestic.
