GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all areas of the Materials Department including the receiving, scheduling warehousing, and shipping activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Strategy and Development
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice supply chain vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
Leads the supply chain team (purchasing, logistics, materials and production planning, trade compliance and warehouse management) in executing best practices.
Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
Works with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.
Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
Supports proper utilization of ERP system.
Assure the correct operation of the IMMEX and IVA certification programs.
Assure the correct implementation of CTPAT and OEA programs.
Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization in the area.
Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department

People Management
Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability.
Manage, coach and develop a high performing Supply Chain team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware
Provide technical expertise to the team
Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements

Financial and Budget Control
Input and hold responsibility for Supply Chain budget.
Responsible for achieving budget and forecast.
Prepare the annual Supply Chain budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Liaise with suppliers to resolve supply chain issues.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in International Trade, Logistics, Administration or similars.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Experience in working with multicultural delivery team.
Experience on manufacturing process from the automotive industry and with customers like BMW, Tesla, GM and Jaguar preferred.
Experience and Certifications in IATF, Internal Auditor and VDA 6.3.
Certification in APIM is a plus
