Salary: MXN $45,000 ? $65,000 gross per month
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the administrative and operational execution of industrial building construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality and contractual requirements through effective planning, contractor management, budget control, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the construction of industrial building projects.
- Negotiate, hire, and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
- Review and validate project drawings and technical documentation before construction begins.
- Identify and assess project risks to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts.
- Conduct coordination meetings with contractors, site supervisors, and design teams to resolve technical and administrative issues.
- Manage project budgets, including contractor payments, scope comparisons, and cost control.
- Prepare project progress estimates and coordinate client invoicing based on project milestones.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients, providing updates on construction progress, quality reports, permits, and administrative documentation.
- Follow up on purchasing activities and required permits to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
- Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure work is completed according to the approved schedule.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with contractors regarding project scope, schedules, payments, and performance.
- Present scope comparisons, risk analysis, engineering solutions, and cost control strategies to management.
- Work closely with the Construction Director to resolve issues impacting project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with the design team to review and finalize construction drawings.
- Collaborate with the legal department to ensure permits and regulatory compliance.
- Provide project progress, financial updates, and technical documentation to the client's management team.
- Follow up with the purchasing department to prevent procurement delays.
- Coordinate daily activities with site supervision teams to resolve field issues efficiently.
Required Experience
- Proven experience managing the complete construction of industrial buildings from start to finish, including foundations, steel structure, cladding, MEP installations, finishes, administrative close-out, and final client handover.
- Successfully completed at least three full industrial building projects.
- Experience with industrial facilities larger than 4,000 m² (3,000 m² may be considered if all construction phases were managed).
- Direct experience in project execution and construction control, including:
o Project scheduling using Microsoft Project.
o Scope comparison analysis.
o Contractor and supplier payment management.
o Purchasing processes.
o Progress billing.
o Change orders.
- Direct interaction with clients, including progress meetings, site walkthroughs, and project status updates.
