About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Payroll & Business Development Manager to lead payroll operations and drive commercial growth across the Caribbean region. This hybrid role combines deep expertise in payroll management and labor compliance with strong commercial skills to expand our client portfolio and generate long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Operations
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing (weekly, biweekly, and monthly cycles) for operational, administrative, and commercial staff
Ensure accurate application of deductions, taxes, and employer contributions in compliance with local labor law
Manage employee records and government reporting (social security, housing funds, tax authorities)
Lead termination and severance processes with full legal compliance
Analyze key HR metrics: turnover, absenteeism, labor costs, and productivity
Coordinate internal and external labor and fiscal audits
Commercial & Business Development
Prospect and close new business with AAA-tier clients and C-level decision makers
Develop and execute strategic commercial plans to grow market share
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts
Manage the sales team through CRM tools (HubSpot)
Identify new market opportunities and drive brand positioning
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations; postgraduate degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
35 years of experience in payroll management and HR administration
5+ years managing relationships with AAA/AA-tier clients
Proficiency in payroll software (SICOSS, META4, ADAM, TRESS or equivalent) and accounting systems
Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law (LFT, LIMSS, LISR) and regional labor regulations
English 85% spoken and written
Willingness to travel and relocate to the Caribbean region
