We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator.
Mexicali, Tijuana | Format: On-site
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE?
You will be responsible for diagnosing operations to identify process improvement opportunities and developing solutions that generate benefits or cost savings for the company. You will focus on areas such as operational excellence, productivity, facility layout, WMS, and resource optimization, all while aligning with client needs.
Special projects or key challenges to be addressed:
Receive requests for operational and/or customer-driven improvements. Conduct time studies and capacity analyses, and balance workloads for both new and existing processes. Identify the seven wastes within processes to develop improvement actions. Map the current state and project potential improvement scenarios. Implement, monitor, and evaluate the cost-benefit of the proposed solution. Document the improvement project using the DMAIC methodology, while tracking progress and generating evidence of expected benefits. Manage facility layouts and productivity, and communicate process deviations across all organizational levels. Determine the appropriate number of FTEs and MHE for each logistics process. Validate the tangible benefits of continuous improvement projects with the controlling department. Constantly strive to build a culture of continuous improvement through education and training at all levels. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effectively communicate the programs and best practices implemented within the organization. Coordinate the implementation of operational and/or process best practices. Participate in and lead process design for the development of continuous improvement proposals. Standardize logistics processes and productivity metrics. Train operational staff on continuous improvement topics. Implement actions related to operational excellence requirements or improvements. Prepare client-requested proposals regarding material flows, processes, efficiencies, productivity, and layouts. Lead innovation projects.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelors degree in a field relevant to the position
Prior experience: Minimum of 2 years in similar roles with responsibilities such as: A Continuous improvement B Implementation of improvements and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) C Establishing metrics to support decision-making
Advanced English
Technical knowledge / Skills: Proficiency in Office 365 Other key skills: leadership, analytical thinking, results orientation, customer focus.
